Julia G. Suita (Shuta) Collard of La Porte, Indiana died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in Hospice Care.  She was born December 18, 1925 to Michael and Anna Suita.  Julia and her husband owned and operated Ye Olde Bike Shop in La Porte for 40 years.  She had work at the KOP ammunitions plant during WWII, Alcoa Howmet, and taught ceramic classes.

Julia married Bernard Collard who preceded her in death on October 5, 2004.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Snyder; and brothers, Michael Soda, William Shuta, Steve Shuta, and Carl Shuita.

Julia leaves behind a daughter, Nancy (Jim) Hannon of La Porte; granddaughters, Missy (Jay) Sampson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lisa (Marc) Munson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; great grandchildren, Kate, Luke, Anna, and Lauren; and many dear nieces and nephews.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015, St. Peter Catholic Church, La Porte, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the Mass in the church.  Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery.
