Ida Mae (Courtney) Perschke

Ida Mae Perschke, 92 of Michigan City, Indiana passed away Wednesday April 27, 2016 in her home.  Ida Mae was born on November 26, 1923 in Covington, Kentucky to Richard E. & Catherine L. (Weber) Courtney.  She has lived here since 1955 coming from Marion, Indiana.  Ida Mae was an operator with Bell Telephone for 15 years. 

On April 16, 1955 in Michigan City, Indiana Ida Mae married John Merritt Perschke who preceded her in death on November 13, 2002.   She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.

Ida Mae was a member of the Michiana Gas Engine Club, enjoyed gardening, riding horses, and family get-togethers. 

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, ESSLING CHAPEL, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 6 p.m.  Private burial will take place in Swan Lake Cemetery in Michigan City, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michiana Humane Society or Leader Dogs for the Blind.
