Florence A. (Gentili) Lenza

Mrs. Florence A. Lenza, 89 ended her journey on November 15, 2014 and she reached her final destination, after complications from Alzheimer’s. 

Florence was born May 26, 1925 in LaPorte to Ben & Orlanda (Quintarelli) Gentili. She was a homemaker and also worked at Boardman Grocery.

On August 31, 1946 in LaPorte Florence married Raymond J. Lenza who preceded her in death on April 29, 1975.

Florence was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter Rosary Society (St. Joan of Arc Circle), LaPorte American Legion Auxiliary, LaPorte Women’s Democratic Club, was a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, and a LaPorte Hospital Volunteer.

Florence leaves a daughter, Rae Ann (Roger) Brown of LaPorte; a granddaughter, Kelly (Jeremy) Boston of Palatine, Illinois; two great grandchildren, Campbell and Mia Boston; a sister, Lida Fanara of Toms River, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, St. Peter Catholic Church, where friends may visit one hour prior to the Mass in the Church.  Burial will follow in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
