Margaret Jean (Cornell) Smith

Margaret Jean (Cornell) Smith, 98, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015.  She was born on February 5, 1928 to Mildred (Juranek) and Garie Cornell.  
On December 8, 1944 in Amarillo, Texas Margaret married Wilbur Smith who preceded he in death in 2008.  She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her children, Sandra Ford and Wilbur Smith both of Sarasota, Florida; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Schweizer, Katherine Cole; and brothers, Jerry and Gary Cornell.
Margaret was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in LaPorte.
Private burial was held in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
