Lance Jeffrey Domke

Lance Jeffrey Domke, 70, of Long Beach, Indiana passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.  Lance was born August 15, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois to Leonard and Iris (Sullivan) Domke.  Lance was a Mechanical Engineer and Programmer who was self-employed and had previously been employed with Sullair Corporation for many years.

On May 22, 1976, Lance married Crystal Izumi.  He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Crystal; sons, Jason (Amber) Domke of Mount Prospect, Illinois, and Ray Shimizu of Orland Park, Illinois; daughter, Shelly Shimizu of Highland, Indiana; grandchildren, Michelle, Brian, Nicholas, and Alex; sisters, Parth (Cristian Rojas) Domke, Laurel Adams, Lisa (John) Capshaw; brothers, Kirk (Nancy) Domke, and Todd (Susan) Domke; brother-in-law, Steve (Ann) Izumi; sister-in-law Cheryl Tempo; and many nieces and nephews.

Lance was a member of the First United Methodist Church of La Porte, Indiana, was a member of the Michiana Lions Club, actively participated in several Bible study groups, loved tutoring math for the Michigan City Schools and the Michigan City Public Library, and was a Board member for Midwest Crossroads Emmaus Community (MCEC). 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, 46384, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350 or Midwest Crossroads Emmaus Community (MCEC), P.O. Box 1384, Valparaiso, Indiana, 46384-1384, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
