Aunt Annie and Uncle Victor, my Grandpa Andrew's younger brother, and later Irmgard and Helmut were a big part of our young family in Calumet City. All stayed with us in our home there for awhile. Uncle Vic finished off the upstairs of our house. When they left our home to live in Munster and later their farm in Hamlet, IN, we continued to visit them often and they visited us as well. The closeness we enjoyed with all of them is a palpable memory to this day for me and, I'm sure, for my siblings Karla and Kris.
Goodbye Auntie Annie, you'll be missed. We love you. Rest in piece.
