A long-time friend of my parents, Jerry & Hazel Lubs, Bill also became a cherished friend to me and my family over the years. It was a privilege to have known him, and our lives have been enriched by his example of faith and friendship. We extend our sympathies to his family, and pray that your loss might be lessened by the deep gratitude and blessing so many of us share through the gift of Bill's friendship.

I was sadded to hear of the passing of Grandpa R. While he may not have been my grandfather by blood, I was raised to care and love him as if he was and I always will. Ellen, you have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers during this obvious difficult time.I know he will be grealty missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Bill was a gentleman in every sense of the word. I enjoyed talking to him at the museum.

My mother was Gertrude Rachor , born to Martin and Clara Rachor in LaPorte in 1909. Sister Loretta in 1907(?). They moved to Sycamore, IL when she was small and then to Michigan City right after high school. She married my father Phillp Lewis Zorn in 1935. I remember her speaking very fondly of Bill, and I think he may have come to her funeral in March of 2001. My condolences and those of my sister and brother to your family.
