I am so saddened by the loss of a man who was like another Father to me growing up. I will never forget all the wonderful times we had living next door to each other...our parent's as best friends. We had the best of times on Gardena St and I will never forget those memories or those times. I hold them very close to my heart. I will always remember the craziness of our Father's Shenanigans and the friendship they had was a bond like no other. I am eternally grateful for the time that Matt and Barb spent with my Dad during his last days on this earth......i cannot express enough how happy those visits made my Dad's before he passed on. Now I can only hope they are together listening to the blues as loud as they can and telling stories of their times together. Oh how they had stories to tell, maybe sometimes a little embellished but all true stories of their childhood and all of their antics. My love for them and the rest of the Troy family will never be gone just because they are gone. They were ride or die friends in life and will be in heaven for these men truly loved each other as best friend's and brothers. Barb, Pat, Matt and Erin.... I am so sorry I only found out today or I would've been there. I love you all and always will. I will never forget our memories.

I'm so sorry to hear of Matt's passing. I still think about the good times on Gardena st. Especially the infamous BigWheel races at 3:00 A.M.in the back yard with Jimmy Reed playing in the background. Matt was always able to make people happy and comfortable and Barb , you were a perfect match for him. I will always hold those memories close to my heart.

Mrs. Troy and family,
Mr. Troy was such a beautiful man that always greeted me with a hug. Although I only knew him from joining us at Hammers, his kindness and smile will be with me forever. He will be greatly missed. I am holding you all in my heart.
Love always, Madame Butterfly

So sorry to hear of your dad passing away. He was among those rare...one of a kind people that you're lucky to meet. He welcomed everyone who came to his house. I can't remember a time when he wasn't making everyone laugh. He definitely had charm and a great sense of humor. Even if you didnt see him for years, he always made you feel like he just saw you yesterday. You all have always been such a close family so I hope you find comfort in all those wonderful memories. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
