We both have fond memories of Father Strebig as former parishioners of both St. Bridget & Sacred Heart. May the many memories of him bring his family comfort in the years ahead.

We were so very Blessed to have Father Strebig a part of our family for more than 25 years. He was our Pastor, teacher and friend. My children adored him and he always welcomed them into his home. Especially, when Father retired and moved to his own home he insisted that I bring the children to visit him. He always had a treat for them and loved to see them for Halloween. I was Father John's secretary for more than seven years. He was a wonderful boss to work beside. Through his example he taught me kindness and compassionate for the less fortunate. He had a smile for everyone and kind words as well. He would say to be kind to children, they will remember it always. The one phrase that he used to say that will stay with me was, "if a child should not be watching or reading something, neither should we." Those are words to live by. Rest In Peace our dear friend.
