Janet Ann Holloway, 80 of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2014, at Brentwood La Porte.
On May 21, 1934, Janet was born to Milton and Frances (Welch) Heins in Dubuque, Iowa.

On Oct. 13, 1956, Janet married Donald E. Holloway, who survives.
Janet was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, and the Madonna Circle. She worked at Bernacchi's Farm Market and Whirlpool in La Porte for many years. Jan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who's joy was to spend time with family and friends.

Janet is survived by her husband Donald; daughters Vicki (Jon) Jamison of Lawrence, Kansas, and Pam Arvesen of La Porte; a son Scott (Donna) Holloway of La Porte; grandchildren Chasidy Cavanna, Samantha Wright, Bailey Holloway, Allison Jamison, Lauren Klosowski, Don S. Holloway, Bryant Arvesen and Joshua Jamison; and five great-grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by her brothers David and Lloyd Heins, and her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Essling Funeral Home, 1117 Indiana Ave., where a Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery.
