James, I think about you often though we never spent much time together. I think enough time has passed where people won’t check this. You were a great man and I wish you could’ve been around more, your open sincerity was a gift to behold and your joy for people something my misanthropic personality lacks. When you were around you made every person, every individual feel like their uniqueness was a gift. I also want to apologize for not being the man your family deserved, I hope they have the peace they deserve.

September 2, 2015 9:27 AM

From the time I was a little boy sitting to have my photo taken by him, Jim always impressed me with his enthusiasm, good humor and intense curiosity about everything in life, including me. He always went out of his way at any family gathering to inquire about my interests and my well being. My tears today are selfish ones because they come from the harsh realization that I did not make more time in my life to spend time with him. He was such an incredible photographer, I think, because of his intense curiosity about life and people. Thinking back to 1959, when I was seven years old and first met him, I was so excited that Marge brought him into our family. Marge, you know more than anyone how smart Jim was. You should always remember that the smartest thing he ever did was to choose you. My thoughts and prayers are focused on you, dear cousin, and that beautiful family that you two created and nurtured...a bad cold and meager finances prevent me from being with you at the service, but I want you to contact me if there is anything I can do or if you just want to talk. With love, David Tworkowski

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Plenus. He was a great person, and an incredible photographer! He not only took great pictures, but he kept things moving and was always there to catch the candid shots at my wedding/reception. I have on numerous occasions looked at a wedding photo and wondered how he was enjoying retirement. Good bless him and his family during this time of sorrow. Rest in Peace Mr. Plenus.

my deepest condolences goes out to the Pontus family in time of sorrow When our loved ones die, we mourn. And we may ask: ‘What has happened to them? Are they suffering? Are they watching over us? Can we help them? Will we ever see them “THESE are questions that people have thought about for thousands of years. They are important questions. No matter who we are or where we live, the answers concern each one of us.” “At such times, we need to go to God’s Word for comfort. (Read 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4.) The Bible helps us to understand how Jehovah and Jesus feel about death” “Jesus taught that someday “all those in the memorial tombs” will be resurrected. (John 5:28) Jehovah is the Creator of all life. Should it be hard to believe that he can re-create life? Of course, much would depend on Jehovah’s memory. Can he remember our dead loved ones? Countless trillions of stars fill the universe, yet God knows the name of each one! (Isaiah 40:26) So Jehovah God can remember our dead loved ones in every detail, and he is ready to restore them to life. “How, though, does Jehovah feel about resurrecting the dead? The Bible teaches that he is eager to raise the dead. The faithful man Job asked: “If a man dies, can he live again?” Job was speaking about waiting in the grave until the time came for God to remember him. He said to Jehovah: “You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.”—Job 14:13-15.”“Just think! Jehovah longs for the time when he will bring the dead back to life. Is it not heartwarming to learn that If you have any questions you may contact me at the E-Mail above or visit our website at JW.ORG thank you Mrs Gloria brown or you can call me at (586) 625-2014
