Victor Edward Gumz lll

Victor Edward Gumz III, 61, of New Carlisle, IN passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born on November 29, 1961, in LaPorte Indiana to the late Victor E. Gumz JR. and Mary Anne (Dan) Gumz of Mill Creek, IN. 

Victor was a member of the UA Local 172 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union (retired), and worked at Second Shift Automotive. 

He enjoyed spending time at Silver Lake on the dunes with his truck and good friends, racing his RC cars at various competitions, he also restored and showed his 1964 Chevy Impala. He loved watching his grandson play baseball and was looking forward to watching both grandchildren participate in their future activities. 

Victor is survived by his mother Mary Anne Gumz of Mill Creek, IN; his daughter, Danyelle Gumz (Billy) of Niles MI; grandchildren Leo and Ivy; and a sister, Lisa Gumz (David) of Mill Creek, IN. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Victor, paternal grandparents, Victor E Gumz Sr. and Lillian Johnson, and maternal grandparents Mary and John Dan.

Visitation will be held from 11 am - Noon (cst) Saturday July 1, 2023, at Frank L Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, LaPorte, IN, where a memorial service will begin at Noon following the visitation.
