Thomas A. Dunfee

Thomas A. Dunfee, 95 of La Porte, Indiana passed away, Saturday, March 27, 2021.  He was born October 26, 1925, to the late Joseph and Irene (Marx) Dunfee.  He was raised in Stillwell, Indiana, and was a graduate of Stillwell High School. 

On July 14, 1950, Thomas married Marilyn A. Coffeen, who preceded him in death in May of 2016.  They were blessed to be able to celebrate being married 65 years.  He was also preceded in death by his two sons, Gary L. Dunfee in February of 2016 and by Douglas A. Dunfee in March of 2006, and a sister Margaret Ann “Maggie” Kapuscinski.  

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Karen Dunfee, of La Porte, grandson Eric Thomas Dunfee and his wife, Laura, of Rolling Prairie and great-grandchildren Audrey Kay and Sydney Marie Dunfee, a sister Beverly “Peach” Bell, of Mishawaka and a brother, Everett “Goog” Dunfee of Stillwell, and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, at Pine Lake Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in his memory, be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Indiana, 8679 Connecticut Street, Suite D., Merrillville, Indiana 46410.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte.
