Theresa Lynn Bernacki

Theresa Bernacki, 56, of 406 Oberreich Street, La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, November 2, 2020.

Theresa was born November 5, 1963, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Fred William and Ruth A. (Bailey) Bernacki. She graduated from La Porte High School. She was a former Manager at the La Porte Community Credit Union for 15 years and an assistant manager at 7-11.  She loved her fur babies.  She had such an out-going personality, always happy to see people and get to know them. Some people thought she was rough and had a tendency to be loud, and she would tell you what she thought, but she never meant it in a mean way. She was a generous person, helping whenever she could. She will be greatly missed.

Theresa is survived by her brother, Brian Bernacki; nephews, Brian, Matthew, and Derek; a niece, Abbie Gonzales; two great-nephews; and her best friend, Diane Childress. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jeffrey A. Bernacki.

Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020, where family and friends may visit from 12 noon until the time of services.
