Susan Elizabeth Draves-Kluska

Susan Elizabeth Draves-Kluska passed away on December 29th, 2021. Susan was born on June 10th, 1956 in La Porte, Indiana to Lawrence “Archie” and Helen Elizabeth Draves, both of whom preceded her in death.  Her brother Lawrence “Larry” Draves, niece Diane Stout, and niece Hilary Draves also preceded her in death. Susan is survived by her daughter Jennifer Kluska.  She is also survived by her nephew Richard Draves, her nephew Darren Draves, and her niece Stephanie Jones. Susan shared a special bond with her nephew Richard and maintained a close relationship with him her entire life. 

Susan passed away at home surrounded by her daughter Jennifer and partner Paul Lipniskis. 

Susan worked for Sullair, LLC in Michigan City, Indiana.  She very much enjoyed her work and team.  Susan appreciated the simple things in life.  She had a smile that would light up a room and a sweetness about her that anyone in her company felt warmth from. Susan was witty like her brother Larry and had a great sense of humor.  She had an adventurous spirit and left no stone unturned while exploring San Francisco with her daughter over the years.  Susan and Jennifer shared a love for Lake Michigan and made many memories at the lake shore collecting beach rocks at sunset. She also very much enjoyed spending time with Paul, especially home renovation projects and bicycling the trails around Chesterton, Indiana. 

Susan was dedicated to cat rescue projects in her community.  She enjoyed the many hummingbirds that were drawn to her deck and the deer that visited her backyard.

Susan is already deeply missed by her family and friends.
