Stephanie Clarie Wymann-Davis, age 83, of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 12, 2026.
She was born on February 12, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Ward and Hildred (Trueblood) Lane.
Stephanie was the founder and longtime owner of Carpet Corner, Inc. in La Porte, where she proudly served her community for more than 20 years.
She was a former member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Stephanie found great joy growing flowers, tending to her garden and loved her Victorian home on Maple Avenue. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing, and knitting, creating many handmade treasures for those she loved.
As a young mother, Stephanie courageously returned home to America after living aboard in Belgium with her two small children. She built a loving and meaningful life for her family. She was devoted to caring for her children, as well as her mother and grandmother, always placing family at the center of her life.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her late husband, Melvin Davis. Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Krista (Jack Cook) Bruck of La Porte; her son, Eric (Michelle) Wymann of Newton, Alabama; her grandchildren, Amanda Bruck, Kaitlin Mannia, Wyatt Wymann, and Corre Wymann; her great-grandchildren, Halyn Pumroy and Easton Lewis; her sister, Miriam Lane-Foldenauer; and her caring life partner, Greg Waksmulski.
Cremation has taken place with Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
