Shirley (Watson) Krol

Shirley Krol, 88 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 22, 1936 in Royalton, Kentucky to the late Fred and Maggie (Bradley) Watson.

Shirley was a homemaker. Family was the center of her life. She was a proud loving grandmother. She also enjoyed visiting the Casino.

On April 7, 1965 Shirley married John Krol who preceded her in death on November 15, 1999. Surviving are her children, Karen (Larry) Stevens of La Porte, and John P. (Patricia) Krol of Warren, Michigan; grandchildren, Ryan (Ali) Stevens, and Ashley Krol; great grandchildren, Chevy Stevens, Zoe Stevens, Noah Stevens, Athan Krol, and Laela Krol; and a sister Gaye Crittendon of Knox, Indiana.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Michael Krol; a daughter, Maggie Krol; and siblings, Wilgus Watson, Clarice Brown, and Gloria Santee.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 noon on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A funeral service will begin at 12 noon on Friday, May 30, 2025 in the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.
