Sherry Marlene (Lane) Martin

Sherry Marlene Martin, 79, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023. Sherry was born on May 16, 1944, to Floyd and Eunice (Burger) Lane.

Sherry is survived by sons, John (Brenda, deceased, March 30, 2023) Martin of La Porte, Michael (Tammy) Martin of La Porte; daughter, Jennifer (Tony) Hibner of Michigan City; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; siblings, Michael Lane and Sandy Butler; step-siblings, Marvin and Earl Berger. 

Sherry was married to Rickey Martin on April 2, 1972. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2021. She was also preceded by her parents; siblings, Robert Lane, Cleona Scott, Jule Onken; and a step-sister, Rosemary Shidler. 

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:30 pm. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at IBEW Local 531, Electricians Hall, 2751 IN-39, La Porte, Indiana.
