Sandra Ann (Schoof) Justice

Sandra A. Justice, 84, of La Porte, Indiana passed away at home on Monday, March 27, 2023. Sandra was born August 3, 1938, in La Porte to the late Elmer and Carita (Collier) Schoof.

On February 14, 1958, Sandy married Tom Justice. Sandy is survived by her husband Tom Justice of 64 years; their three children, Susan (Steven) Burdine of Oklahoma, Steve (Shelly) Parker of Minnesota, and Carla (Scott) Siler of South Bend; grandchildren, Erin Justice, Tara Daley, Brandon and David Burdine, Adam and Parker Justice, and Rebecca and Matthew Siler; and a sister, Margo (Schoof) Brust. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Douglas Justice. 

Sandy graduated from Union Mills High School in 1956, and went on to receive her Master’s degree in Education from Ball State University. She taught kindergarten for over 33 years in the La Porte County School System. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Union Mills Bethel Presbyterian Church, 110 E. Hamilton Street, Union Mills 46382. Pastor Bill Rogers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the services in the church. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, in La Porte, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Mills Bethel Presbyterian Church.
