Royce Gene Cattron

Royce Gene Cattron, 93, of La Porte, Indiana passed away, Friday, December 24, 2021. Royce was born on January 23, 1928, in La Porte, Indiana to Roy and Charity (Cook) Cattron.

Royce was the owner of Cattron Electrical Contracting Inc. in La Porte, Indiana.

On June 4, 1949, Royce Gene Cattron married Margaret Helen Haag. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2017. He was also preceded by a son, John “Jack” David Cattron on November 8, 2020.

Royce is survived by his daughters, Theresa Bailey of La Porte, and Connie Dickson of La Porte; grandchildren, Samantha (Jason) Parmley, Danielle (Jeremy) Case, Adam (Jennifer) Bailey; 13 great grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley (Charles) Link of La Porte.

Royce was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Church, the La Porte Hospital Board for 12 years, the La Porte Fireman’s Board, the Knights of Columbus, St. Michael Council #1542, Moose Lodge in Michigan City, the Alcoholic Beverage Commission of La Porte County, La Porte City Development Board, the ICT Board Study and work program through the La Porte Community Schools, and a lifetime Rotarian.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Church, 109 C Street, La Porte, Indiana 46350. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.
