Rodrick McLean Jr.

Rodrick McLean Jr., 81, of Michigan City, Indiana passed away March 29, 2023. Rodrick was born on October 13, 1941, in Arkansas to the late Rodrick and Lucille (Bray) McLean. 

Rodrick and his wife Mary were the owners of Lakeshore Wholesale in Michigan City, La Porte, and Valparaiso, and McLean Auction Service.
He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Deliverance in Michigan City and the Countryside Wesleyan Church in Alva, Florida where he spent many winters.

On April 18, 1990, Rodrick married Mary Ekovich who survives. He is also survived by a son, Robert (Tracy) McLean of Michigan City; foster children, Amanda and Miranda Moore; grandchildren, Tommy and Chad Kaczmarek, Crystal Ramirez; great grandchildren, Sierra, C.J., Jalyn, Chole, Alexa, Jeremy, Hailey, and Hayden; a great great grandchild, Wren; siblings, Judy (Ray) Safirt of Michigan City, Debbie (Dan) Goodaker of La Porte, Jimmy (Louise) McLean of Stevensville, Michigan, and Gerald (Brenda) McLean of Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Angela Kaczmarek, Anita Carol McLean, and Larry McLean; and siblings, James McLean, Sarah Parsley, Tony McLean, and Teddy McLean.  

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling  Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. following the visitation. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Mr. McLean.
