Roberta "Bobbe" (Flynn) Smith

Mrs. Roberta “Bobbe” Smith, 94, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Bobbe was born June 19, 1927, in Kokomo, Indiana to the late James and Katherine (Harrison) Flynn.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, loving mother, and a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Catholic Church.  In her younger years, she enjoyed golfing and helping with the hospital auxiliary. Roberta enjoyed reading, shopping, and decorating.  She and her husband had been avid Notre Dame and Cubs fans.

On June 16, 1949, she married Marshall O. Smith (Smith Shoes) who preceded her in death along with four brothers and two sisters.

Bobbe is survived by daughters, Marsha (Chuck) Clabbers and Kathlene (Mark) Tarnow; three sons, Timothy, Christopher, and Michael Smith; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Monica Martin.

A private Mass and burial will be held.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.
