Robert “Bob” C. Houck, 83, of Michigan City, Indiana passed away peacefully Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Bob was born on May 26, 1942, in La Porte, Indiana to the late George Houck and Dorothy (Stahlberg) Murray.
On February 3, 1962, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Joan Flotow who preceded him in death on January 8, 2025.
Bob retired from NIPSCO where he was a lineman for 38 years. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his immaculate yard. He loved to golf with the guys, going on vacation, and spending time with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Lori (Dave) Williamson and Julie Hebb both of Michigan City; four grandsons, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Williamson, Robert “Bobby” (Marci) Williamson, Christopher Hebb, and Michael Hebb; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan; and brothers, Edward Houck and Dennis Houck.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Trail Creek Place and AseraCare Hospice. All of you are wonderful and you made the difficult times a little easier. We appreciate the care and love you showed our dad during his stay with you, and the kindness and love you showed to us.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
