Richard "Dick" Ulam

Richard “Dick” Ulam, 95, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was born on March 28, 1928, in Chicago to the late Walter and Gladys (Waak) Ulam. 

Dick retired as a gas serviceman with NIPSCO. He was a member of the Masonic Excelsior Lodge 41, 32 degree Scottish Rite, Order of Eastern Star, and a Shriner. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in La Porte. 

On May 20, 1959, Dick married Louise (Travis) who preceded him in death on October 2, 2008. Surviving is a daughter, Brenda Ulam of Michigan City; sons, Kevin (Colleen) Ulam of La Porte, Bruce (Sandy) Ulam of La Porte; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Ulam. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A Masonic service will begin at 12 noon on Monday following the visitation, followed by a funeral service.
