Richard Dean Peckham

Richard Dean Peckham, 84, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

Richard was born October 17, 1935 in Hillsboro, Wisconsin to the late Wesley and Ruth (Smith) Peckham.

On September 16, 1955 Richard married Shirley Kessler who survives.

Richard retired from NIPSCO where he was a plant attendant and spent 27 years at the L & G plant in Rolling Prairie, Indiana.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church, La Porte Moose Lodge, and Beechwood Senior Golf League.  He graduated from La Porte High School in 1954.

Richard leaves behind his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Terry (Dave) Hahn of Mill Creek, Indiana; a son, Thomas (Toni) Peckham of La Porte, Indiana; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timothy Peckham; and a brother, Roger Peckham.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday June 13, 2020 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

Funeral services will follow the visitation on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Rick Boklund officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.
