Paul Michael Hanske

Paul Michael Hanske, age 47, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Paul was born on May 16, 1978, and was known for his hard working spirit and love for his family.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Emerald Hanske and Gabrielle Hanske, both of La Porte; his cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Lorenzo Romano; his parents, Theresa (Wozniak) Hanske of Michigan City and Joel (Linda) Hanske of North Judson, Indiana; his sister, Melissa (Cason) Hayes of Michigan City; his niece, Brianne Hayes; his nephew, Landry Hayes; his half-brother, Shawn (Crystal) Green of Washington State; and Sara Hanske.

Paul was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Albin and Mary Wozniak; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Florence Hanske; and his cousins, Julie Mayfield and Scotty Murray.

Paul dedicated his career to carpentry and project management as a proud member of the Carpenter’s Union, Local 1485. He took great joy in being an involved and devoted Papa. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his many good friends. In his free time, Paul enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Bears, playing baseball, and spending time deer hunting—activities that brought him both peace and happiness.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM (CST) Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11 AM (CST) Wednesday, January 7, 2025 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel.
