Pamela S. (Holt) Salo

Pamela (Holt) Salo departed peacefully from this earth at her home in Winchester, CA, after a brief illness, on May 12, 2022.  Her husband Jerry Salo Sr. was at home with her at the time.  Pamela (Pam) was born 80 years ago to Arlie and Sendie (Shattswell) Holt in Red Rock, Arkansas but had moved to La Porte in the late 1960's.  After moving to La Porte Pam married Jerry Salo Sr and they had one son, Jerry Salo Jr.  Pamela was very much loved in La Porte, especially during her many years working at Five Star Foods and Al's East Grocery Store.  Pam loved her family, and to visit many casinos later in life at her subsequent homes in Peoria, Az and in the Temecula, CA area.  Pam adored her grandchildren and had 5; Danika (Dan) Corum, Misha, & Kai Dabrowski, Jett Scholz and Tyler Salo.  Pam will be missed by all for her friendliness and kind heart.

Pam is survived by her husband, Jerry Salo Sr, all 5 of her grandchildren, her daughter Karin (Rob) Scholz, her sisters, Linda (Ken) Lee and Nadine Dunk; and many other beloved friends and relatives.  Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Sendie Holt; her brothers, Doyal Holt, Lou Holt, Floyd Holt and Dee Holt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer (Al) and Helen Salo; and in-laws, HA and Bessie Ladd. The greatest loss in Pam's life however was that of her son, Jerry Salo Jr, who passed away in 2003 and whom Pam will be next to at Patton Cemetery.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Patton Cemetery.
