Norman (Nook) A. Daisy

Norman (Nook) Allen Daisy, Sr 84 of Pierre Part, Louisiana, formerly of Laporte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Norman was born August 24, 1939, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Harold and Maxine (Mrozinski) Daisy. On January 30,1960, in Chicago, Illinois Norman married Dorothy (Dottie) Wojdyla who preceded him in death on June 8, 2015. On December 17, 2022 Norman married Lily Pond who survives.

Norman worked at Bethlehem steel as a steel worker. He was a member of Christ gospel church.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Daisy and four sisters Shirley Moore, Joanne Reed, Marilyn Allen, and Roberta Wilson.

Norman is survived by his wife Lily, two sons. Norman (Leeann) Daisy Jr. of Laporte Indiana and Thomas Daisy of Laporte, Indiana. Grandchildren, Alicia Olson, Brian Daisy, Nicholas Daisy, Skylor Prater and one great granddaughter Layla Prater; five brothers, Eugene Daisy, Harold Daisy Jr, Gerald Daisy, John Daisy, and Donald Daisy;  two sisters, Carolyn Collins and Cindy Bragg; and step children, Dennis, Daisy, Darwin Derla. 

Nook was an avid Bears fan and enjoyed playing guitar and singing while hosting  family functions. He was loved by everybody who met him.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.
