Norma Jean (Pahs/Sitar) Daugherty

Norma Jean (Pahs/Sitar) Daugherty, 69, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Norma was born April 2, 1950 in Michigan City, Indiana to Norman E. and Lucille R. (Porsoska) Pahs.

Norma was a Registered Nurse and LPN.  She was employed with St. Anthony Hospital, La Porte Hospital and I Street Clinic. She attended the La Porte Missionary Church where she was a member of the quilters group.

On January 15, 2000 Norma married Rex L. Daugherty who survives.

Norma is also survived by her daughters, Sarah (Jon) Rinkel of La Porte, Indiana and Maggie Sitar of La Porte, Indiana; grandchildren, Kadin Sitar, Grace Rinkel and Jonathan Rinkel Jr.; sisters, Patricia (Kevin) Reid and Mary Ellen (Bob) Dunstan of The Villages, Florida; and a step-son, Dennis (Traci) Daugherty of La Fontaine, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Susanne Murphy.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the La Porte Missionary Church, 104 E. 18th Street, La Porte, Indiana 46350.  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the La Porte Missionary Church where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Carl Galloway will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, La Porte, Indiana.
