Nicholas Robert McCarty

Nicholas Robert McCarty, age 43, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2026.

He was born on June 19, 1982, in La Porte, Indiana, to Danny McCarty and Roberta “Bobbi” (Faulstich) Marrapode.

Nick will be lovingly remembered by his parents, his brother Bryan (Amy) McCarty of La Porte, his sister Leanne (Zach) Ebeling of Indianapolis, and his cherished nieces and nephews, Riley and Ian McCarty, and Nora, Owen, and Zoey Ebeling.

Nick was a graduate of La Porte High School and later earned an Associate’s Degree from Ivy Tech. He worked alongside his brother Bryan in the automotive business, beginning by washing cars and eventually becoming a salesman. Nick also proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

In addition, he worked with his dad as a mechanic in the HVAC industry. Nick had a passion for electronics and enjoyed building computers. He loved listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with the things that brought him joy. Above all, Nick loved Jesus, and his faith was an important part of his life.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Barry Brown and Will Abercrombie officiating.

Burial will take place afterward at Kingsbury Cemetery.
