Nancy J. (Kyes) Meyers

Nancy J. Meyers, 93, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025.

She was born on June 18, 1931 in Porter County, Indiana to the late Ralph and Edna (Zane) Kyes.

On July 30, 1949, Nancy married Charles D. Meyers who preceded her in death on January 14, 2014. Together Nancy and Charles had two sons, Dan E. (Lynn) Meyers of La Crosse, Indiana and Bruce (Cheryl Lynn) Meyers of Leesburg, Florida; five grandchildren, Brent, Michelle, Erica, Alicia, and Andy; seven great grandchildren; and two great- great grandchildren.

Nancy was the last of seven siblings and was preceded in death by George, Bill, and Ralph Kyes, and Louise Miller, Edna Vitoux, and Betty Goodson. She was also preceded by a great grandson, Devin Baxter.

Nancy was a member of The Presbyterian Church of La Porte, and former member of the Michigan City Moose Lodge, and Valparaiso VFW. She enjoyed knitting with friends, tending to her garden, canning, and camping at Bear Cave in Michigan.

Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A funeral service will be at 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home following the visitation with Reverend Jane Anabe officiating.

Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.
