Mindalyn "Mindy" Sue (Pugh) Gaunt

Mindalyn Sue Gaunt, 74 of La Porte, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 29, 1951 in La Porte, Indiana to the late Harland H. James “Jim” Pugh and Betty (Tennis) Pugh of La Porte, Indiana.

Mindy was an office manager with the City of La Porte’s Police Department and Water Department. For a total of 22 years.

Surviving are her children, Erynn (Dave Warner) Gaunt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Eric (Amanda Voorhees) Gaunt of La Porte, Indiana; grandchildren, Jamie, Jaelyn, Lillian, Alexandra, Amelia, Osbourne, and Ben; and her mother, Betty Pugh of La Porte. She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Constance Oxley.

Mindy was an avid sports, and music lover. She was everyone's neighborhood mom, being a very strong person that would do anything for anybody. She belonged to multiple garden clubs.

Her grandchildren were her everything and so very important to her.

If Mindy had a million dollars she would give every single dollar away to help others.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte.
