Michael "Mick" Lane

Michael “Mick” Lane, 77, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born on September 23, 1946 in Winamac, Indiana to the late Floyd Lane and Eunice (Hickman). 

Mick retired as a buyer from Sullair. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the La Porte Sports Booster Club.  

On November 6, 1970, Mick married Marsha Maxwell who survives with their sons, Keenan (Courtney) Lane of South Bend and Brodie Lane of La Porte; a grandson, Zabram Lane; a sister, Sandra Butler of Winamac, Indiana; and step brothers, Marvin Berger of Winamac, Indiana and Earl Berger of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. 

Mick was preceded in death by his parents and step father, Ed Berger; step mother, Lou Lane; sisters, Cleona Scott, Jule Onken, Sherry Martin; a brother, Robert Lane; and step sister, Rosemary Shidler. 

A Memorial Luncheon will take place at 12:30 PM EST, Sunday, July 14, 2024, at North Liberty Christian Church, 65225 State Road 23, North Liberty, Indiana 46554. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
