Meghan Charlotte (Martinsen) Jongkind

Meghan Charlotte Jongkind, age 48, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

She was born on March 26, 1977, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Scott Martinsen and Janis (Ebeling) Martinsen.

Meghan dedicated her professional life to caring for others as an MRI Technician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Radiological Science from Indiana University in 2007 and took great pride in her work.

Meghan will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kyler and Chloe Jongkind of La Porte; her mother, Janis Martinsen of La Porte; her father, Scott (Beverly) Martinsen of La Porte; her siblings, Joseph (Jackie) Martinsen of Carmel, Indiana, Valerie (Jason) Seifert of La Porte, and Benjamin (Alex) Martinsen of La Porte; as well as Josef Jongkind of La Porte.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 111 Kingsbury Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A memorial service celebrating Meghan’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
