Mary Kathaleen (Smith) Watterson

Mary Kathaleen Watterson, 76, of Chicago, Illinois formerly La Porte passed away Friday, August 5, 2022.

Kathy was born on December 20, 1945, to the late Judge Alban and Dorothy (Stapish) Smith. She was a Legal Secretary and Court Reporter. She held a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue North Central.

Kathy leaves behind her children, Jeremy Watterson of South Bend, Christopher A. Watterson of Michigan City, and Nicole Watterson of Trenton, Ohio; grandchildren, Zachary Fisher, Sierra Fisher, Ashlee Watterson, Savannah (Zach) Cannon, Ian Watterson, Kathaleen Watterson, and Christopher Watterson. She was preceded by brothers, Alban, T. Michael, Terrance, J. Patrick, and Dennis Smith.

Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in La Porte.
