Mary Ann (LeRoy) Alban

Mary Ann Alban, 88, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Mary was born June 9, 1934, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Chester and Helen (Parsell) LeRoy.

Mary graduated from La Porte High School in 1952. She attended St. Elizabeth Hospital Nursing School in Chicago earning her RN in 1955. From 1955 to 1970 Mary was an RN, working at Holy Family Hospital in La Porte, South Side Hospital in Islip, New York, and retiring in 1970 from La Porte Hospital. She was a surgical assistant to Dr. William Moore.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Church and a former board member at La Porte Hospital.

On October 20, 1965, Mary married Clyde R. Alban who survives along with two sons, Adam (Cecilia) Alban of Arvada, Colorado and Andrew (Heidi) Alban of Pierre, South Dakota; two grandchildren, Clayton and Nolan Alban; two sisters, Jane (David) Levendoski and Nancy (Kingsley) Taft; a brother, Edward LeRoy; and two sisters-in-law, Beth LeRoy and Maggie LeRoy.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert LeRoy and Thomas LeRoy.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Church, 109 C Street, La Porte, Indiana.
