Madeline (Ritchie) Stacy

Madeline Stacy, 82, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Madeline was born on January 13, 1942 in Jackson, Kentucky to Woodrow Ritchie and Laura (Prater). She was a homemaker.

On August 18, 1962 Madeline married Ellis Stacy who preceded her in death on June 7, 2018. Survivors include her children, Dorthy (Sam) Arnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, Sheila (Ken) Symons of La Porte; Ellis (Glenda) Stacy Jr. of Knox, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and siblings, Marcella (Linvill) Hopper, America McCarty, Naomi Tharp, Donna Keith, Ordway, Maynard, Kelly, Carl, and Ray Ritchie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Victoria Jewell.

Madeline collected dolls and loved her dog, Cookie. 

Burial will take place at Caleb-May Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte.
