Luella Anderson

Luella Anderson, (93 ), of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, March 4, 2024. Luella was born at Holy Family Hospital on April 28, 1930 to Raymond and Eulalia (Foldenauer) Anderson. Luella was a lifelong resident of La Porte. She graduated from St. Joseph grade school and La Porte High School class of 1948. She was employed by La Porte Community Schools, Allis Chalmers Sales Branch, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Universal Woodcrafters and retired from GTE in 1989 with 17 years of service as a service and repair representative. Luella stayed active after retirement. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church. She volunteered or was a member of several organizations including; La Porte County Historical Society, AARP, St. Joseph Rosary Sodality, La Porte Hospital Health Porte Auxiliary and Foundation, Meals on Wheels, La Porte Hospital, and VNA Flu-Clinics. She was a Norte Dame Fan. Luella is survived by several cousins and special friends. Her cousin, Judy; and her special friends, Roger and Sue with mention. She was preceded in death by her parents; her best friend and companion, James Supanik; and cats, Mittens, Andy and Maisie. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday March 7, 2024 at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 C Street, La Porte, Indiana following the visitation. Reverend Nate Edquist will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
