LuAnn P. (Lenard) Wedow

LuAnn P. Wedow, 88, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021.

LuAnn was born on March 21, 1933, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Stanley J. and Anna (Paszkiet) Lenard.

On April 26, 1958, LuAnn married Robert J. Wedow. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2018.

LuAnn was employed with the La Porte Community Schools as a secretary at La Porte High School. She was also a secretary at Allis Chalmers, and a homemaker. She was an active parishioner of La Porte St. Joseph Catholic Church and always put God and family first in her life. She was a devoted wife and mother and found fulfillment and happiness in caring for her family and being with them. She enjoyed baking and always remembered family and friends with special cards and handwritten notes. LuAnn loved to read and for many years enjoyed being an active member of Curves.

LuAnn is survived by a daughter, Susan A. Lestinsky of New Carlisle; and a son, Robert S. Wedow of St. Joseph, Michigan.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be held at 7 p.m..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte, with Reverend Ian Williams officiating.  Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the Mass.  Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 “C” Street, La Porte, Indiana 46350.
