Louis Bernard Kozlowski, 91, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Friday, June 30, 2023. He was born on August 24, 1931, in La Porte to the late John and Julia (Pataluch) Kozlowski.
Louis was an electrician with the United SteelWorkers local 6787 at Bethlehem Steel for many years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church in La Porte. He served his country during the Korean War as a Private First Class in the United States Army.
On July 29, 1972, Louis married Dorothy B. Ciesielski who preceded him in death on March 2, 2014. He is survived by a sister, Aggie Craig of Michigan City; and a brother, Chester Kozlowski of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by siblings, Sophie Gadzala, Stanley Kozlowski, Lottie Mikolajewski, Mary Skwiat, Adeline Levendowski, and Leo Kozlowski.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 201 Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.
