Louella K. Glavin, 92, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020.

Louella was born June 29, 1927 in La Porte, Indiana to Walter and Katherine (Boyce) Rheinholtz.

On April 1, 1961, in La Porte, Louella married Horace E. Glavin who preceded her in death on April 22, 1983.

Louella was the former owner and operator of the Pinola Saloon in Pinola, Indiana for 50 years. She was a member of the Buchanan Michigan Moose Club, La Porte Yacht Club, La Porte, Porter and Starke County Tavern Association, and the Licensed Beverage Association.

Louella is survived by a stepdaughter, Judith Glavin of Benton Harbor, Michigan; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Ryan of Michigan City, Indiana and Tamara Westphal of Lake Station, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horace; two brothers, Jim and Jack Rheinholtz; and a stepson, John Glavin.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of Donor’s Choice.
