Lori K. (New) Burns

Lori K. Burns, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Lori was born April 22, 1957,  in La Porte, Indiana to James and Jean (Felton) New.

On February 14, 1981, she married Darwin (Dude) Burns.

Lori graduated from La Porte High School and went on to achieve an associate degree. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Church.

Lori is survived by her husband of 41 years “Dude”; her children, Rebecca (Stanley) Kukla of La Porte, and Adam (Lisa) Burns of Walkerton; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Austin Burns of Walkerton, Amanda and Kade Kukla of La Porte; brother, Richard (Elizabeth) New of Georgia; sisters, Sheri (David) Miller of La Porte, Peggy (Mark) Demchak of Converse, Indiana, and Angie (Don) Lamken of La Porte. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Susie New.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022. At Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Catholic Church, 1101 Michigan Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Reverend Ian Williams will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
