Kathleen (Leahy) Cantrell

Kathleen Cantrell, 70, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020.

Kathleen was born November 23, 1949 on La Porte, Indiana to the late Bill A. and Marie (Hurst) Leahy.

Kathleen worked at Little Tavern and House of Fara.  She loved to cook and have family get togethers.  She adored her grandkids and her dog, Tucker.  She touched a lot of lives, was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Susie (Jim Ritter) Masterson of La Porte, Indiana, Tom (Becky) Masterson of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, Robert Smith of La Porte, Indiana, Bill Smith of La Porte, Indiana; daughter in law, Lily Masterson of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; grandchildren, Michael Daisy, Michael Jezierski, Brett Masterson, Ashley Simpson, Nicole Masterson, Katie Masterson, and Mason Smith; great-grandchildren, Logan, Luke, Tre and Liam; siblings, Anna Mary Crum of La Porte, Indiana, Mary Wentzel of La Porte, Indiana, Mary Jo (Ron) Griesinger of Niles, Michigan, Patricia Boyer of Mishawaka, Indiana, James (Rae) Manhart of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Ann (Charlie) Cepcani of Cincinnati, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Cantrell; son, David Masterson; grandson, Alex Daisy; three brothers, Robert Manhart, Michael Leahy, and Thomas Leahy.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held 1-5 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the American Legion Post 295, 710 Water Street, Union Mills, Indiana 46382. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
