Joni L. (Turak) Allen

Joni L. (Turak) Allen, 82, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born on June 14, 1940, in La Porte to the late Leigh and Florence (Goodwin) Poston. Joni was a beautician at Magic Mirror Salon in La Porte for many years. She graduated from Union Mills High School in 1958.

Surviving are her daughters, Janyl Pinkepank (Stephen Ebert) of La Porte, Jill (Ross) Fisher of Avon, Connecticut; her significant other, Jim Rocha of La Porte; grandchildren, Matthew (Jen) Pinkepank and Erik (Lauren) Pinkepank, Bradley and Brooke Fisher; great grandchildren, Molly and Henry Pinkepank; and her twin sister, Judy Surowiec (Ken Drake) of La Porte.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.
