Jeffrey Alan Schroeder, 70, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana passed away Monday, February 17, 2025.
He was born on December 8, 1954, in La Porte to the late Harold and Dorothy (Arkuszewski) Schroeder.
Jeff was a 1973 graduate of New Prairie High School where he played on both the baseball & basketball teams. He enjoyed watching most all sports, but was an avid golfer & lifelong Chicago Cubs fan,
He worked most recently as Manager of Midtown Storage Units in Michigan City for the last 20 years. He was formerly a truck driver with La Porte Transit.
He enjoyed classic rock, especially that of the Eagles, Paul McCartney & Wings, The Doobie Brothers, & Lynyrd Skynner.
Jeff is survived by a daughter, Angie (Tim) Weber of New Carlisle, Indiana; grandchildren, Morgan Weber, Tyler Weber, and Kyle Weber; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Kolton, & Olivia Weber, Leon & Adalyn Teapila; siblings, Jayne (John) Piraccini of Mishawaka, Indiana, Janet Schroeder of Plantation, Florida; and Jerry (Katherine) Schroeder of Chesterton, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Judith Schroeder and James Schroeder.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held from 11 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana with a Memorial service at 1:30 PM.
Private family burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery.
