James Gordon Craft

James Gordon Craft, 79, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Friday, January 28, 2022.

James was born November 13, 1942, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Gordon and Helen (Diesslin) Craft.

James married Laraine Tomkins who survives.

James was a farmer and truck driver. He loved having horses.  He was an avid John Wayne movie lover, loved all of his animals, and was an avid Cubs fan.

James is survived by his wife, Laraine; two daughters, Debbi (Randy) Burns of Mishawaka, Indiana and Kimberly (Dave) Pflughaupt of New Carlisle, Indiana; a son, James Craft Jr. of New Carlisle, Indiana; a step son, Sean Pelikant of Syracuse, Indiana; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy (Willis) Alt of Warsaw, Indiana, Jane (Jeff) York of Downers Grove, Illinois; and brothers, Charlie (Patti) Craft of La Porte, Indiana, and Tom (Jame Solner) Craft of Michigan City, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A memorial service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
