Jacqueline M. (Cwiklin) Minich

Jacqueline M. Minich, 90, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Friday, February 22, 2019.

Jacqueline was born April 20, 1928 in Elmwood Park, Illinois to Edward and Grace (Klein) Cwiklin.

On October 1, 1949, in Elmwood Park, Illinois, Jacqueline married Richard Minich who preceded her in death February 5, 2017.

Jacqueline retired from La Porte Hospital where she was a Registered Nurse for 17 years.  She also worked for Dr. Zahrt in the office for 12 years.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Rosary Society, senior bowling league, La Porte Hospital retirees, and the Over 40’s club.

Jacqueline leaves behind two daughters, Kathleen (Jerry) Yoder of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Suzanne (Randy) Hornstein of Greenwood, Indiana; a son, Timothy Minich of La Porte, Indiana; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Galvin of Chanhassen, Minnesota; a brother, Edward Cwiklin of Chesterfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; a son, Michael Minich and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  A Parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte.  Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Reverend Ian Williams will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
