Jacob Matthew Fredenburg, age 38, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
He was born on September 26, 1987, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Roger M. Fredenburg and Gloria (Gardner) Fredenburg.
Jacob worked as an electrician with the IBEW, Local 531 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He was a graduate of New Prairie High School and later earned his Associate’s Degree from Ivy Tech College before entering the IBEW Apprenticeship Program. Jacob took great pride in his work and skills.
In his free time, Jacob enjoyed playing golf and working with his hands. He loved rebuilding cars, motorcycles, RC cars, and snowmobiles, with a special passion for automobiles.
Jacob is lovingly remembered by his father, Roger M. Fredenburg of La Porte and Florida; his mother, Gloria Fredenburg of La Porte; and his brother, Luke (Grace) Fredenburg of Michigan City, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Gardner, and his paternal grandparents, Roger L. and Joan Fredenburg.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at La Porte First Church of God, 2020 E. Lincolnway, La Porte, Indiana 46350.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 noon at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, in La Porte.
