Gene Anthony Litza

Gene Anthony Litza, 74, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Gene was born on June 15, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Daniel and LaVerne (Gehling) Litza.

Gene spent many years working as a truck driver before retiring. He took pride in his work and the life he built through it.

He is remembered by his daughter, Katina (Tim) Lorence of La Porte; step-sons, Jim (Terry) Caldwell of Indianapolis and their children, Shelby and Carson, and Jeff Caldwell of Indianapolis and his children, Cory and his son, Jaydn; brothers, Raymond Litza of Orland Park, Illinois, Mark Litza and Tom Litza of Rolling Prairie, and Michael Litza of Indianapolis; sisters, Christine Litza of Orland Park, Illinois, Nancy Biggum of Rolling Prairie, Elaine (Eugene) Turcynski of South Bend, and Yvonne (Wayne) Litza of Granville, Ohio; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet; a granddaughter, Katana Lorence; his parents; and a sister, Virginia Litza.

Gene was known for his outgoing personality and warm smile, which he shared freely with everyone he met. He was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered fondly for his kind heart and friendly spirit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, in La Porte. Cremation has taken place.
