Duanne M. Dilloway

Duanne M. Dilloway, 90, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born on January 17, 1933, in La Porte to the late Lawrence and Helen (Hubner) Dilloway. On September 20, 1952, Duanne married the love of his life, Janet Dotson who survives with their children, Pam Terzino, Dennis (Teri) Dilloway, Lori (Lance) Hindsley, all of La Porte, and Carol (Michael) Sneed of Cape Coral, Florida; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanne Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. 

Duanne was a lifelong truck driver and volunteered with the Cool Springs Fire Department for many years. Together Duanne and Janet owned Dilloway Orchard for over 25 years. After retiring from Bulk Transport at age 59, they enjoyed traveling in their 5th wheel to their favorite RV park in Donna Texas where they vacationed every winter for the past 26 years making lifelong friends and memories. His favorite thing to do was tell jokes and he also enjoyed fishing, camping, horseshoes, (where he was considered the Horseshoe King), playing pool, hunting and spending time with family. Shriners Children's Hospital was dear to his heart so he always looked forward to picking oranges while in Texas which benefited their mission of helping children. 

A Celebration of his Life will take place at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life on Saturday in the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
